    DORIS JEAN HORN LARY went to her home with Jesus on January 16, 2025. She was born in Quicksand, Kentucky on January 7, 1930. Her parents were Carroll O’Conner Horn and Thelma Gunter Horn.

    The Horn family moved to Minden, Louisiana when Doris was 12 years old. She married her high school sweetheart, Joe Lary in 1948 and celebrated 54 years together.

    Doris joined the First Baptist Church in Minden on January 1, 1942.

    She was faithful in her service to carry the message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through her love of music.
