    The Borrowers is a 1997 fantasy comedy film directed by Peter Hewitt and starring John Goodman, Jim Broadbent, Celia Imrie, Mark Williams, Hugh Laurie and Bradley Pierce.

    It is loosely based on the 1952 children's novel of the same name by author Mary Norton.

  • When the film was released in the United Kingdom, it opened on No. 2, behind Alien Resurrection.
